21/01/2020 – The Nigerian Air Force (NAF) is about to take into service two more AW109 Power helicopters after they were delivered by air from Italy last week.
The two partially disassembled rotorcraft, along with equipment and spares, arrived at Nnamdi Azikwe International Airport Abuja on board a Boeing 737-400 Cargolux Airline aircraft from Malpensa International Airport in Italy on 15 January 2020. 18/11/2019 – Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio and US National Security Adviser Robert O’Brien have discussed security situation developments in Libya. According to a statement carried by the Italian news agency ‘Nova’, the two sides discussed Middle East, Libya, terrorism and bilateral relations.
Nova quoted Italian Foreign Minister as saying ‘Italy will host a meeting for Libya’s neighbouring countries on Dec.1, indicating that the meeting will be held on the margins of the Mediterranean Dialogue Forum which will be held from 5th to 7th of the same month. The Italian Minister disclosed steps that Italy was taking which included easing the intensity of conflict which could lead to a ceasefire, and resuming the UN-led political process through the UN Special Envoy Ghasan Salama.

2019/15/02 – The Italian organisations CILD, ASGI and Rete Disarmo have succeeded in their bid to be granted access to the content of an agreement concluded between Italy and Niger, despite opposition from the Italian government.

2018/14/11 – Italian Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte said yesterday that he regretted Turkey’s withdrawal from the Libya conference.
« I feel sorry that Turkey’s Vice President Fuat Oktay left the conference. I read his remarks and I didn’t see anything negative about Italy.
