Turkey, Qatari ministers meet as Egypt parliament approves Libya incursion

Libya and the UK discuss fostering security cooperation

16/10/2019 – The Minister of Interior, Fathi Bashagha has discussed with the Chargé d’Affaires of the British Embassy in Libya, Nicholas Hopton training of security service personnel of the ministry.

The meeting reviewed prospects for cooperation between Libya’s Interior Ministry and its British counterpart, in addition to other security topics related to the fight against terrorism, organized crime, and illegal immigration, according to the ministry’s Information Office.

China and Africa Hold the Dialogue on the Implementation of China-Africa Peace and Security Initiative

2019/14/02 – On February 6, 2019, the Dialogue on the Implementation of China-Africa Peace and Security Initiative was held in Addis Ababa, capital of Ethiopia. The Dialogue was jointly hosted by the co-chairs of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) China and Senegal as well as the African Union (AU) Commission. Chairman of the Chinese Follow-up Committee of the FOCAC and Assistant Foreign Minister Chen Xiaodong, Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Senegalese Abroad Mame Baba Cissé of Senegal and AU Commissioner for Political Affairs Minata Samate Cessouma attended the Dialogue and delivered keynote speeches. 23 African Foreign Ministers and representatives from member states of the AU Peace and Security Council and the Group of Five for the Sahel (the G5 Sahel) also attended and addressed the meeting. China to deepen security cooperation with Africa: FM

2019/09/01 – China is desirous to enhance its cooperation with Africa in the areas of peace building and security, the visiting foreign minister said in Ethiopia of East Africa on Friday.

Tunisia accepts delivery of last of eight Black Hawks #USArmy

2018/04/12 – U.S. Army Security Assistance Command (USASAC) completed a foreign military sales (FMS) case to deliver eight UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to partner country Tunisia this summer.

The Black Hawks will provide Tunisia with cargo/personnel transport, medical evacuation and combat operations capabilities. The case value is more than $338 million. Chad said to condition resumed ties with Israel on ‘extensive’ weapons sales

2018/02/12 – The president of Chad has presented Israel with a laundry list of demands, including significant arms sales, as a condition for renewing ties, according to a report Wednesday.

Boko Haram: Nigeria appeals for earlier delivery of Tucano aircraft by U.S. firm

2018/08/29 – The Chief of the Air Staff (CAS), Sadique Abubakar, has appealed to the manufacturers of the A-29 Super Tucano Attack Aircraft, to expedite action on its  delivery  to Nigeria.
