2018/02/25 – Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Adel bin Ahmed Al-Jubeir, met separately here today with President Mohammed Yousufo of the Republic of Niger and President Roch Marc Christian Kabore of the Republic of Burkina Faso on the sidelines of the high-level international conference of the African Sahel Region.
During the two meetings, they discussed bilateral relations and means of enhancing them, in addition to the topics on the agenda of the conference.
2018/02/19 – Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, Governor of Riyadh Region received here today Ambassador of the Republic of Mauritania to the Kingdom Hamadi Amemo.
During the meeting, they exchanged cordial conversations and discussed a number of topics of mutual interest.

2018/02/01 – Between the 20-24 of December 2017, Qatari Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani travelled to Senegal, Mali, Guinea, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire and Ghana. Since Sheikh Al-Thani became Emir in 2013, Qatar’s African policy has been primarily focused on East Africa, where the emirate has established significant diplomatic relations with countries such as Eritrea, Somalia, Sudan and Kenya. However, the Saudi and United Arab Emirates-led diplomatic and economic embargo of Qatar could force the Emirate to rethink its policy toward the continent. 04/12/17 – Saudi Arabia has pledged $100 million (£74.2 million) to a new regional military force battling jihadist groups in West Africa’s Sahel region, force member Mali said on Monday.
The contribution would be a major boost to the cash-strapped force and bring pledged commitments to more than half the roughly $500 million the G5 Sahel says it needs for its first year of operations. Jeddah 26/11/17 — The Islamic Corporation for the Development of the Private Sector (ICD), the private sector arm of IDB Group, and BSIC Niger have entered into an agreement to finance SMEs in Niger.
