28/08/2019 – Terrorist sleeper cells affiliated with Khalifa Haftar’s forces have been depicted in Tripoli trying to cover for failure to enter the capital by targeting officials, journalists and bloggers inside Tripoli.
Recent actions by those sleeper cells include targeting the house of the member of Constitution Drafting Assembly Itimad Al-Misillati in Ain Zara in southern Tripoli on Monday, damaging cars for her family.
This targeting was preceded by another directed by gunmen at a journalist and presenter at Tanasuh TV Channel in Libya’s capital Mihammed Eshbeni on the coastal road at Esban Roundabout of Tajoura.
Tanasuh TV issued a statement saying four people driving two Toyota 27 cars stopped Eshbeni, verbally attacked him and threatened him.
« The gunmen threatened me because I work as a journalist and said I was part of Muslim Brotherhood Group and Libyan Fighting Group. » Eshbeni said on his Facebook page.
On August 02, loyalists of Haftar’s forces admitted to burning the car of blogger Naji Al-Hajj in Tripoli.
Meanwhile, the Interior Ministry announced lately arresting terrorist sleeper cells affiliated with Haftar’s forces in Tripoli that were aiming to destabilize the capital by attacking individuals and institutions.
