Morocco – Rabat Hosts 11th Morocco-US Defense Consultative Committee Session

Morocco and the US today held the 11th meeting of the joint Defense Consultative Committee (DCC). The meeting took place in Rabat at the headquarters of the National Defense Administration.

US/Africa – Pentagon Announces Force Optimization

2018/15/11 – The Department of Defense announced today the realignment of Counter-Violent Extremist Organization personnel operating in U.S. Africa Command to support priorities outlined in the National Defense Strategy. Over the next several years, the realignment projects a reduction of less than 10 percent of the 7,200 military forces serving in Africa Command. Nigeria – US Army procures Hydra rockets from General Dynamics for foreign military sales

2018/09/16 – General Dynamics has been awarded a $44 million contract to procure Hydra rockets for foreign military sales to Afghanistan, Nigeria, Australia, Lebanon and the Philippines, the U.S. Department of Defense said in a Friday, September 14 release.
