2018/27/10 – Le président du Ghana, Nana Akufo Addo et son homologue togolais Faure Gnassingbé ont conjointement inauguré vendredi le poste de contrôle juxtaposé de Noépé-Akanu à la frontière Togo-Ghana, à près de 30 kilomètres à l’est de Lomé.Akufo Addo est arrivé vendredi matin à Lomé, spécialement pour cette inauguration, alors qu’il est facilitateur dans une crise socio-politique qui agite le Togo depuis août 2017 et qui a connu des rebondissements en lien avec le recensement électoral et la recomposition de la CENI, organe de supervision des élections. 2018/09/25 – Ghana’s agenda to integrate nuclear power into its power generation mix is progressing steadily with the Ministry of Energy setting a target to fully activate the second phase of the project by the end of the first quarter of next year.
The first phase, which was primarily about making the decision to use nuclear power and meeting all the 19 infrastructural needs outlined by the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA), was fully addressed by the country as at April 2017. 2018/08/31 – About twenty military delegations (groups) from Africa participated in the International Military-Technical forum «ARMY-2018» organised by the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation in Kubinka, located approximately 280 km from Moscow.
The «ARMY-2018» received about 120 official delegations from foreign countries and featured nearly 150 events as part of its scientific business programme. The annual games allow the different world forces to improve their efficiency, knowledge and friendship. The army extravaganza, billed the Olympics of the Military World, now in its fourth year. 2018/08/29 – Minister for Africa at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development Harriett Baldwin has announced a major new jobs creation and investment programme during a visit to Ghana on 28 August 2018. The UK’s £20 million Jobs and Economic Transformation (JET) Programme will help create over 15,000 jobs for Ghanaians and is expected to facilitate over £50 million of additional private sector investment.
