Libya/US : Al-Sarraj discusses security arrangements with US Jones Group International

28/08/2020 – The Head of the Presidential Council Fayez Al-Sarraj discusses with the US-based security firm « Jones Group International » shared visions for building the capabilities of Libyan security personnel, and fighting extremism and terrorism.

The discussions also included coordination mechanisms between the American firm and Libyan defense and security departments.

Al-Sarraj went over the vision of the Government of National Accord regarding building up military and security capabilities of the Libyan forces with the assistance of international expertise.

Al-Sarraj was accompanied by top security and defense officials from the GNA at the meeting with the American firm whose delegation visited Tripoli last February and met with the Deputy Defense Minister Saleh Al-Namroush as well as other officials to map out a shared vision for cooperation to enhance the work of security and defense apparatuses to fight terrorism and violations in the country.
