2018/02/11- The Government of National Accord Planning Minister Al Taher Al Jheimi has said that all of the country’s economic problems would be resolved once the Libyan parties reached a solution to the ongoing crisis. He insisted that the country’s crisis was a political one.
Libya has the potential to overcome its ordeal and in a relatively short time, Al Jheimi told the audience at a workshop organized by the Ministry of Employment here today.
The Minister said there was a need to reconstruct the Investment law, he called for promoting the private sector’s role in the developmental process, saying the ideal way to curb un-employment is to encourage economic growth through investment spending, and this could only be achieved in an atmosphere of consensus.
Al Jheimi considered unemployment in Libya as a personal choice, indicating that there were a lot of work opportunities to be taken, and they were taken by expatriate workers in all sectors who reached at some point 1.5 million.
